Kelly Jones-Waller Receives the 2008 Augusta Horsey Nash Service Award
Kelly Jones-Waller, PCC, was named winner of the 2008 Augusta Horsey Nash Service Award at our December 13 membership meeting.
The award was established in 2005, with the first recipient being Augusta Horsey Nash, MCC, who has contributed in countless ways to GCAs growth since the early days of our chapter. Betsy Pickren, PCC, was our second recipient and Jane McMullen Howe, ACC, received the award in 2007.
Kelly Jones-Waller was nominated along with: Tony Klingmeyer, MCC, Augusta Horsey Nash, MCC, and Andrea Hopke.
Kelly has enriched our chapter over the years. Some of Kellys contributions to GCA include: In 2002, she created a highly successful and visible community service project for GCA The Cool Girls coaching program. Long-time members still speak of the impact this program had on them as coaches. In 2005, Kelly and her co-president, Randy Brenneman, PCC, set a vision that reshaped GCA and grew our organization to the next level. Their theme of Awaken the Leader Within inspired many emerging leaders to step forward for the future of the chapter.
A masterful group facilitator, Kelly also lead the GCA board through its strategic planning retreat in 2007, which was instrumental in setting our path for 2008-2010 and beyond.
Kelly stepped up in a huge way in 2008, as co-chair (along with Becky Dannenfelser) of this years Prism Award, which was GCAs highest-ever attended event, with high-caliber attendees from the business community, resonant messaging about coaching, and netted a profit.
Kellys contributions to the coaching profession have a wide reach as one of the top trainers for the Coaches Training Institute, she has trained coaches all over the world. She has also brought large-scale coach training to organizations including IBM and the National Homeland Security Administration.
Kelly truly embodies the spirit of coaching in all she does. She has a deep respect for high standards of professional training, certification, expertise and mastery in our profession. She operates from a shared leadership model where others can shine alongside her. And she combines her calm, cool style with playfulness and spontaneity.
Kellys involvement with GCA has literally changed our trajectory as an organization when Kelly is involved, she has a way of creating ripples that turn into powerful waves. Kelly is not just doing service, she is having a lasting impact on our organization and the individuals whos lives she has touched.
Congratulations Kelly!
